About Eileen Landies
Eileen Landies is a Reiki Master and Teacher with experience in both Usui and Karuna® Reiki healing methods. She has given Reiki treatments to hundreds of individuals throughout New England.
Her background includes 9 years of Clinical Nutrition at several hospitals, including the University of California, Irvine Medical Center and University Hospitals of Cleveland. She worked with the Senior Nutrition Program and Meals on Wheels for Corona Community Hospital in Corona California. Eileen volunteered her time in several villages in Mexico to re-educate mothers of 'Failure to Thrive' infants on proper nutrition and breastfeeding, whose misinformation was brought about by the deceptive marketing practices* of infant formula manufacturers.
Eileen has experience as a Public Health Scientist in Virology for the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. She has also completed coursework for a Ph.D. in Developmental Molecular Neurobiology. She taught Genetics at the University level as a Teaching Assistant.
Eileen presently volunteers her time as a Co-Leader for the Hillsborough County Chapter, NH of Holistic Moms Network (www.holisticmoms.org). When she isn't giving Reiki treatments or teaching Reiki, she enjoys playing the piano, practicing Tai Chi and Qi Gong, cooking healthy whole foods meals for her family, advocating for health freedom and the environment on multiple levels, and spending time with her family and nature.
